Kindergarten Registration for 2019-2020 School Year

2019-2020 Registration Dates and Procedures


Kindergarten registration will be February 26, 2019, through May 3, 2019, at each public school and throughout the summer beginning May 6, at the School Board Office until school reopens.

In order to be eligible to register for Kindergarten, a child must be five years of age on or before September 30, 2019. Children who attended our Pre-K program during the 2018-2019 school session do not have to register for Kindergarten.

*All Forms must be completed for Registration whether they pertain to your student or not.

New Student Registration Procedures

Registration for new, in-parish transfers and transferring students coming from out of parish or out of state can go to the public school or the School Board Office to register.  Specifically, throughout the summer beginning May 6, 2019, at the School Board Office, (Registration Hours: 8:00AM to 4:00PM), until school reopens. 




1.)  Birth Certificate

2.)  Immunization record

3.)  Proof of domicile address

4.)  Last report card

5.)  Name and address of previous school

6.)  A withdrawal form from the previous school


Proof of domicile examples:


  • Current utility bill or current utility deposit receipt including electronic copies of current utility statements (electric, water or gas only)
  • Rent receipt or lease agreement (apartment or home) with accompanying current utility bill (electric, water or gas only). If it is an apartment, the individual(s) must be included on the lease.
  • Purchase agreement with accompanying current utility bill (electric, water or gas only)
  • Notarized affidavit of domicile address with affiant’s current utility bill (electric, water or gas only). If it is an apartment, the individual(s) must be included on the lease.
